Today is National Happiness Happens Day! What makes you happy?
There are many things that make me happy. I can’t just choose one. My amazing family works hard to keep me happy each and every day and they’ve never failed. I couldn’t be more grateful for everything that they’ve done for me. I’m so blessed to be apart of a huge family, who love me and support me in everything I do. I don’t know what I’d do without you guys.
Believe it or not, going to school makes me happy. Waking up early every day might not be the fun part, nor is getting a lot of homework. In the end, it’s worth it if you push yourself hard enough. Maintaining high honours is a lot of work, but if you study hard you can accomplish your goals. Every year, I push myself to get that honour roll certificate, and when I get that certificate I’m felicitous! I’m so proud of myself and look back at all the work I’ve done to accomplish this. School keeps me going, and I set new goals for myself every time I accomplish one. When I accomplish my goals that’s what makes me happy.
All of my friends make me happy. I get to see most of them at school. My two best friends, Léa and Jasmine have been friends with me for what feels like forever. I’m also lucky to have stayed in contact with my best friend Sabrine since we were 18 months old. After, I moved away we were worried we would lose our amazing bond, but turns out we were wrong. I’m so grateful to have them in my life. They’ve helped me get through a lot and give me advice when I need it. Spending time with them makes me happy because whenever we hang out or talk we are always laughing and having fun! Most importantly, no matter what has happened we have always stayed together through thick and thin. That’s what best friends are for, am I right?
VACATION makes me happy! I love traveling every year with my parents and brothers. Every time we go on vacation we always have fun with each other. We like to go somewhere different every year, but we’ve had the most fun in Punta Cana. We’ve traveled there twice but two different resorts. The water parks are what makes it really fun. Family vacations are very relaxing. When we are all relaxed, we are all happy!
Saint Columba House makes me ecstatic. Every time I see them, I always have a smile on my face! The children bring out the kid in me and keep the day going. It’s really fun spending time with all of the amazing staff. They’ve all been super supportive and welcoming. I’m happy that I’ve chosen Saint Columba House for my platform and so thankful for everything they’ve taught me.
Last but not least, pageants make me happy. This is my first time competing in a pageant, and I’ve never been happier with the experience. Entering the Miss Teenage Canada pageant has taught me a lot. I can’t wait to learn more during the week I’m in Toronto. Being selected Miss Teenage Island of Montreal has been one of my greatest accomplishments. I was very excited when I heard my number get called up to receive my crown! I knew at that moment it was just the beginning of something great. This pageant has brought so much excitement to my life and I’m grateful for all of my supporters who have been on this incredible journey with me!
